What to do when you don’t Want to
I’m starting a small group in 8 days and I still haven’t told hardly anybody about the time or place! Ahh, I hate being a procrastinator… but apparently not enough to change it! It’s tempting to just want to go back to the women’s conference I was at this past weekend and praise God with no worries of my daily tasks. But having said that, I am super excited about the small group and everything else God is doing in my life right now. I also want to write about the conference from this weekend but there is literally so much to say I have no clue how to fit it all on one website. However, I am definitely working on figuring out how to do that!

An Unmarred Moment
When I put Caleb down for a nap today, he wasn’t ready to go to sleep. He cried for a few minutes until I went back in his room to check on him. I picked him up and he laid his head on my shoulder while I rocked him and sang in his ear. It was perfect. The moments parents must live for. I will never be able to get enough of that feeling of having his body laying against me for comfort. No moment in time could be more complete.

In Honor of Snakes, Ticks and Leaf-covered Trails
Rheagan and I had quite an adventure trying to find a trail a couple of months ago. We got lost and had to get directions from some “horse people.” We ended up in a dirt circle at the end of a dirt road. So what do you do?
We parked and went “hiking” on a flat trail covered with leaves. It had clearly not been used in a long time. Then at the beginning of the trail we just missed stepping on a snake. Rheagan still couldn’t see it when it was pointed out, so that was when I decided it might be safest for me to go first. We came to the end of the trail (aka a road) after 15 minutes or so. We tried our luck with the other side of the trail. We made it about 10 minutes or so before I found a wonderful little creature on Rheagan’s pants. That was our cue to turn around. The day was definitely not what we were planning on but fun nevertheless.
So here’s to good friends and adventures that don’t quite turn out the way you expect.

Into the Open
I am going to my first women’s conference this weekend! I am not super excited only because I have not been that excited about much lately. But I have a feeling it is going to change a lot of things for me. I just teared up from reading an email that the conference just sent out. It didn’t even really have anything in it besides information. That’s how I know there’s something there.
I have a lot of things that are not the way they should be with me right now. I think this weekend is going to bring them out in the open for me and others I am going with. I am excited to be going with such Godly women like Rheagan and her friend Amanda. It is definitely going to be an adventure and I plan to come back changed!
